Counting on a Miracle is a testament to a father’s unconditional love for his son and to the wonders of modern medicine. When four year-old Jake developed a huge tumor on his lungs, his family, friends and total strangers rallied around to help him in his life and death struggle. Heaven was flooded with prayer the day the doctors admitted that they have never seen anything so large, so aggressive and so ominous as the reneged tumor that was squeezing the air from Jake’s tiny lungs. The problems that faced the medical community were numerous. Due to the position of the tumor they couldn’t perform an autopsy. Surgery was high risky. They didn’t know if chemotherapy would work. Basically, the medical experts were fighting an unknown enemy that was shrouded in darkness.

Jake’s dad, Cliff knew what he had to do. He had to comfort his son, hold his family together, try to keep thing “normal” and do a lot of talking to a God, that he admits, he didn’t know all that well.
